I work in an IT Company in Noida. The life is hectic and full of speed. As a result, after 6 months of hardworking, I desperately wanted a Journey that made me Calm and Relaxed. From an acquittance, I came to know about “Buddhist Tours and Travels” based in Noida.
I enquired about the tours and packages, and surprisingly their charges were economical and cheaper than most of the travel companies based in Delhi NCR.
I planned a tour and deposited some amount to reserve my Seat. I opted for ‘Buddhist Circuit Tour Package‘ starting from Bodhgaya. The tour Duration was 8 Nights and 9 Days, enough for me to relax and enjoy my holiday with a religious touch. The journey started on 18th July, 2019. I travelled from Delhi to Patna by plane and reached Bodhgaya enough to start my journey on time. The starting of the journey was completely fine and I caught the tour guides easily. The journey started in a Mini-Bus along with other 17 people, mostly in their middle-ages. The first stop was Bodhgaya. This place is famous as Gautama Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment under the Famous Bodhi Tree. The place is called Mahabodhi Temple Complex and is located in Gaya District of Bihar. For Buddhists, Bodhgaya is the most important Pilgrimage site. The Temple at Bodhgaya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The place was simply fantastic and full of positive vibes in all over the place. I really enjoyed the peace there. The place itself provided me with energy and vibes.
This was the time I appreciated my decision of choosing ‘Buddhist Tours in India’ for this journey. They simply made my Journey Aweosme. The next stop was Dungeshwari Caves. These Caves are located in Pragbodhi Hills, Northeast of Bodhgaya District. This is the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have spent 7 years living as an ascetic, dying from Starvation in the process of becoming a Saint. The place is again awesome, full of peaceful environment and lots of greenery.
One thing that I want to share here at this point is that, the guide provided to us by ‘Buddhist Tours in India’ was a real nice guy. He had complete knowledge of the places we visited and was sharing all his knowledge in a sophisticated way. I really liked his way of presenting things to us.
The next stop after Dungeshwari Caves was Rajgir. The place is located in Nalanda District in Bihar. More popular by the name of Mahakala Caves. It is believed that the Buddha spent some time here meditating before heading to Bodhgaya. The Caves contain a Golden Statue of Lord Buddha of about 6 Feet Tall.
Nalanda, was the next stop after Dungeshwari Caves. The most beautiful place here I visited was the ruins of the Nalanda University. The place is declared as a UNESCO Site. The Jal Mandir Temple is also a best place to visit in Nalanda along with Saptaparni Caves and Vishwa Shanti Stupa. The place is excellent for internal peace and prosperity.
